Google is launching a global initiative, a Non-Profit Program to help charities spread their messages easily via YouTube and generate funds and donations via Google Checkout. This will help charities to broadcast their messages freely worldwide.
Google unveiled its YouTube’s Non-Profit Program at the Clinton Global Initiative to help non-profit organizations connect easily with the world’s largest online video community. Video is a great form to convey the charity’s message and achievements, with YouTube’s help; the charities can develop their own channel and spread their messages to their audience, embed their videos in blog sites and allow users to share their videos with friends.
There are number of participants in this YouTube initiative, American Cancer Society, Friends of the Earth, the ONE.org and others. Here the video shows the ONE.org campaign, they do an amazing job in trying to eliminate poverty in the world.
Another thing Google added for this initiative is allowing the charities to accept donations via their Google Checkout service, where the charities will get their money with no service fees and via secure server. This is excellent news for charities and will save overhead costs, PayPal and other Credit card companies charge a minimum of 3% transaction fees.
If you know any charities pass this message so they can reach more audience and be able to process donations easily.
