Google Buys GreenBorder, Security Software

Google buys GreenBorder.com, a web security software that isolates your web session from your computer.
Google bought GreenBorder, a company that creates security software designed to protect a computer as you surf the web.

This new purchase will help Google, since it is concerned about the number of websites it gives as search results have malware, spyware and Trojan threats. GreenBorder have developed an easy solution to protect the user from these threats by isolating each internet session from the rest of the PC and earlier internet sessions, so any threats will not harm your PC.

According to Silicon Valley Watcher, the Green Border Pro software, it doesn’t need to be updated against new viruses or malware. It creates a virtual internet session, separate from the PC, so when you are done browsing; it flushes all the things in the browser, such as the cache, temporary files.

This program was initially used in Internet Explorer only, but now it seems will work with Firefox also, and if there are any files to be downloaded, one can open it within the virtual environment. It creates a Green Border to let the user know it is a safe environment. They claim it does a far better job than any anti-virus anti-malware program in the desktop.

It is a great purchase for Google, it can add it to Google Apps or add it in the Google Toolbar.

This GreenBorder program will be ideal for any single user or for the entire family, so they don’t have to worry about getting infected in homes and in a network environment. Hopefully Google will offer this free for us.
